Hi! I’m Hannah Marsden, the creator of
Marsden Muse. Take a look at the journey of how a small idea evolved into the business it is today.

Marsden Muse began with one simple frustration: I couldn’t find a colouring book that reflected my personality.
Anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with art. Since I was a little girl all I wanted to do was draw, paint and colour in. I completely fell in love with how colouring was easy enough to do, but engaging enough to allow your mind to wander for hours.
I had also always fantasised about living a luxury lifestyle. I dreamed of walking around beautiful cities, dining at high-end restaurants, and sitting front row at fashion week wearing head-to-toe Chanel. This was, of course, completely out of my reach, but I couldn’t wait to find a colouring book that would allow me to spend hours imagining I was right there.
But when I searched everywhere for this product, I couldn’t find a single one!
The colouring books I found were either too juvenile, centred around cartoon animals and simply colouring within the lines, or highly complex adult colouring books, with intricate patterns and tiny shapes that left little room for the imagination.
I wanted to create the perfect balance.
Designs with enough details to keep you engaged, yet enough space to make each page your own. Most importantly, I wanted it to embody the elegance, femininity, and glamour I felt was missing from the market.
And so, Marsden Muse was born.

Originally named Marsden Colouring Books, I launched three books between the ages of 19 and 20. Paris, London and Christmas made up my first collection — books which I was incredibly proud of at the time. More importantly, they proved to me that there was an audience of women searching for a more elevated, fashion-inspired colouring experience.
In 2026, at 20 years old, I decided to take the idea further. I wanted every aspect of the colouring books to feel luxurious. I took the leap switching from print-on-demand to printing and shipping the books myself, allowing for far faster delivery times and premium-quality card paper. I also redrew every illustration, enhancing each page to ensure it felt as beautiful and refined as possible. Along with new covers, gift-wrapped packaging, and several personal touches I hope you love when receiving the books. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the quality reflected the vision behind the brand.
Marsden Colouring Books then officially relaunched as Marsden Muse.

A ‘Muse’ refers to someone – often a woman – whose style, presence and individuality influences you to create art inspired by them. This seemed to fit the idea of the brand perfectly.
Bringing these books to life has been the most rewarding experience. I created them for the girls who, like me, imagined living a more glamorous lifestyle than the one they had — the kind of luxury trips, designer fashion and elegant experiences they thought only existed in magazines and Pinterest boards. I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to escape into that world, even if only for a little while. My hope is that every page brings a little creativity, escapism and aspiration to those who colour it in.
The little me who spent hours drawing and dreaming of becoming an artist could never have imagined that one day her artwork would be shared with people all around the world! I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported my business, whether those I know helping behind-the-scenes, or complete strangers taking a chance on my artwork – you have helped my childhood dream come true!

I hope you love our colouring books and I can’t wait to see your finished creations!
